Hi! I have an idx+sub subtitle file which cannot be converted to a text file. I would like to increase the duration of the subtitles. Is there a way to modify the files themselves or to tell DirectVobSub to show the subtitles for a longer time?

Well, thanks for the response! Unfortunately, that does not help me... Here is the reason I cannot convert them: They are in Japanese. Some of them are Kanji with little Hiraganas above them. At least, I think it would be very complicated to do so, and it would be much easier if there was a way to simply increase the duration. The reason I want to use these is that I recently started learning Japanese, and this would be a very good way to become more adapt at reading and understanding it.

Just use Subrip and rip it to .bmp files ans .srt or .ssa
