I just installed an 001 system for a friend this week in his G4/400. When I run digitest the 001 card is not seen. The 001 interface is getting power from the card but the computer doesn't see the card. Any ideas?

Thats a strange problem...make sure the card is in the slot next to the video card, and that if a scsi card is used, it should be in the last slot(one slot left- in the middle), Yes, the Digi cards are fussy about which slot you use, if not, call tech support, maybe they have an answer, and make sure all the extensions for Pro Tools Le are checked, and that the software is not corrupted in any way. Marc i innstalled my digi card in lot 4..video cards in slot 1&2 and scsi controller in 3 shanew do you have audio... try remove the card and re-install again or try take out everything and re-done the job hope this help you

shanew, Have you tried to launch Pro Tools LE software? that's really the true test. Digitest can sometimes be helpful in troubleshooting but, personally, I don't always trust it. I would suggest launching Pro Tools and see if it works OK. The other thing you can do to see if the card is recognized by the computer is to run the Mac OS System Profiler. This will also tell you if the computer sees the card. If Pro Tools doesn't launch, you may want to give Digi Tech Support a call at 650/842-6699. Jon Connolly Digidesign Product Specialist

I have a G4, and it is not seeing my 001 card. This is the second time I am having trouble with this product, last week I exchanged it becasue the card was not good. When you try to launch Pro Tools do you get the message can not create a DAE deck. Let me know because I think there maybe something wrong with the card. I have tried it in different slots and have the same problem. Now here is the real kick in the ass, It work for a few days before this happened. I am calling Digi for an exchange of my unit for the third time. Maybe they did have a bad batch of cards. [This message has been edited by toecat (edited February 19, 2000).]
