Hi all, I've been reading a lot of posts trying to pick up hints. This seems like a great place. 2 problems so far: 1. My Korg X2 keyboard/midi controller/sequencer doesn't show up as a choice in the Patches Names part of OMS. I've searched the web and even Korg.com doesn't have it. Any help or work arounds? 2. The demo sessions crash the hell out ptle. Suggestions? Thanks in advance. EjA

Hey, thanks for all the grat info. I thought allocating the most RAM was alway the best idea, but I thought I read not to do that. I'll add the max right now. My Set-up: Dual 800 G4 768 MB RAM Ultra2Wide LVD 160 9GB 2nd Drive (for audio) Digi 001 D-Verb and Just bought Realverb 1.0 from Kind Of Loud for $30.00 (!) Thanks again and I'll post my first decent song As soon as it's mixed. EjA

Allocating the most RAM is definitely not a good idea That's not what I said! You need to leave a comfortable amount of RAM to the OS, first of all, but even then it's never a good idea to allocate way more RAM than a software needs. Open your session, and in the finder, go to the apple menu>about this computer. There you can monitor the amount of RAM allocated to the soft (empty rectangle) and the amount of RAM actually used by the soft (colored bar inside that rectangle). If the amount of used RAM is way smaler than the amount of allocated RAM then you'll want to diminish the allocated RAM.
