A common problem seems to be that when converting an AVI to VCD/SVCD, it is possible to get a 'drifiting audio' effect, where things are in sync near the start of the movie, but it drifts out of sync (up to 1/2second) after about an hour. Has anyone ever found a _good_ solution for this? Typical scenario: 1. Extract the audio from the avi to an uncompressed .wav (using VirtualDub). 2. Encode the avi and the separate .wav in TMPGEnc. I've also tried remux in the audio afterwards, but it still exhibits the same problem. Any ideas greatly welcome... 'typical' fixes that involves offsetting the audio don't work, because it is a drift, not a linear offset of a/v. Correcting the end of the movie to be in sync causes the beginning to be out of sync. Quite annoying!
