is it possible to use my joystick in conjunction with the virtual midi keyboard for triggering notes/drums via battery 3? could I use the right dpad to go to the next note and one of the buttons to trigger drum samples? i managed to use a generic script with reaper, but is not how i expected it to be

either this is an incredibly hard & unfamiliar question, or its a familiar & borderline idiotic one.

which app you using btw? i used 'joy2key' as a generic term for a joystick to keyboard app. i happen to use 'total game control' have done for years, but there are others that do a fine job too. i may remember where it was mentioned in forum, [cue search...] aha. xpadder.
