a few things I don't see mentioned: 1- you can work with the sws extensions and specify a track height A and B and then put those in a toolbar as text icons or image icons... clicking either with set all selected tracks to A or B 2- dbl clk the vertical scroll bar of the arrange window... it will cycle through three changes of track height... small, normal and huge... 3- select any tracks in the tcp, then hold the Alt key and hover mouse over the bottom edge of one of the tracks, and then use that cursor to drag the height... you will only see that one track height change but when you release the mouse, all the selected tracks will be that same height. lotta ways in reaper to get'er done...

I have a suggestion. In a lot of plugins a double click of a parameter zeros it to default setting. In Reaper double clicking on an empty space on the track itself does nothing. How hard would it be to code it so double clicking on an unoccupied spot on the track restores track height to current project setting? Further, double clicking on the projects default sized track enlarges it for easier editing. Double click again and it's back to projects current size. Yes, no?

When you create a new project, Cmd+E (Mac) and click "Track views", then click a number and then save. Whenever you want to come back to the default track state, click Cmd+E and then the saved Track view. I hate that you have to create a new one for every new project.
