Hi everyone. I have some avi file. when i try to play it, the player shows error "unknow file format "div3" -all codecs installed correctly. When i try to open file in Gspot or Vdub(mod) it opens normally (and doesn't show "reconstructing missing blocks" as if it would be partially download file) I even can play file in Dub. The only strange thing i noticed - keyframes are every 2000-5000 frames (and not 100-300 as regulat) If i try to save this file using "direct stream copy" to audio and video - Dub/Dubmod/Nandub takes all free memory - about 150 mb (i have 256,win2k) and about up to 500-700 mb in virtual memory,After some time the process crashes with "out of memory". The same happends if i try Video->Check for errors. Tried Divfix - says file i OK. Does anyone have idea how to fix this file? And how could it be, that Dub plays the file, and palayer doesn't? Thanks in advance for any replies.

You could try opening with advaced options and check 'Rederive keyframe flags', perhaps that solves your problem. If that doesnt work, try to save video and audio stream separately and remux afterwards.

Thanks, "rederive kayframe flags" really worked, i opend the file(although it took some time) and just saved it with "direct stream copy". and file works now. The only strange thing - it is 900mb now instead of 700:confused:

Ouch. Really strange. You can try transmuxing to ogm and see if that improves on that. Also check if the original wasnt vbr sound and you didnt accidentally decode it to uncompressed pcm in the process.
