Is anyone running the digi 001 sucessfuly on an HP Pavilion pc? If so, are there any issues? I'm thinking of buying the 001, but digi doesn't support the HP Pavilion line because they've had problems with them. Besides being a Pavilion, my pc has all the right specs: 800mhz, 512mb, 30 gig hard drive, pentium 3, windows ME.. Please advise!

I set up 2 for clients of mine and it works great. Just make sure DMA is enabled on your hard drive.

Whoever it is at Ke Productions, thanks for your help! So you think it's an ok risk to take? (purchasing the 001 for an HP Pavilion) Does this mean I would get no tech support from digidesign because I purchased it against their reccomendation of compatibility? If so, I'm not sure I would buy it. So are these units you installed running totally trouble free? Do you know what the problem are that digi had w/Pavilions? If so, could that be fixed w/a new mother board, and is that even worth it?

Hey, im running my digi 001 on a HP pavillion 8754C. I've gotten up to 24 tracks, good amount of plug ins. The only issue is crashing for no reason. But it isnt frequent enough for me not to be able to use it. Just be sure to save alot. But this isnt a pavillion only issue, from what i understand, other pc users have this problem too. I'm in the process of building a new comp, but yea, the pavillion got the job done.
