I want to upgrade to windows XP with a new amd, and in doing so, I am looking for the easiest trouble-free way to do it. I have searched past forums, and it gets really confusing. Simply put, I don't want to flash bios (if possible), and I want to have the optimal setup. Here goes: What version of BIOS do I need? What Amd XP processor is the best? What chipset is best? I am looking at the Asus A7V333. I am buying from United Micro, and their chipsets seem to be limited. I know this has been beaten to death, but I would REALLY appreciate anyone who can assist. Doug

Could I go less than XP2200 with that chipset? For example, could I go with an XP2000?

You Betcha Hey. I'd go with the XP2200 for the extra 40.00. Whole new core and screaming on PTLE. How about those Packers Hey? Allen
