Hi all Hopefully someone can help unscramble my mess... so i have a fairly comprehensive drum track for a song. I am trying to copy certain hits for the kick, but when i paste, the mark goes off way past the end of the song, and nothing is actually pasting. I've tried playing with settings and various copy options, but Zero joy. Any ideas?

Are these Midi or Audio items? where are you copy/pasting at, the arrange area or in the Midi Editor?

So, I had an issue once. I had a guitar pro track with drums and I exported the whole song as midi. Then in Reaper I imported the midi files and only some of the instruments played. Basically, what happened was some of the midi tracks were changed to different channels (I'm not sure why this happens someone more knowledgeable will be able to answer). To change the channel of the midi items I opened up the items where not playing and highlighted all the notes and right clicked to change the channel to channel 1. Good luck, let us know if it works as someone else in the future my have the same issue.
