Hey Chuck, The stereo outs is a limitation of RTAS itself, not the BFD - which is why both BFD and DKFHS use ReWire to talk multi-channel to ProTools. While you could *in theory* wrap the Toontrack plugin with VST-RTAS, it really needs to have all its outputs bussed in to PT to work properly as, unlike BFD, it totally lacks an onboard mixer. BFD is $299 street, and the XFL expansion pack will most likely work out at $199 street, so while it's a more expensive option than the Toontrack, you do get the following:- * Play the full kit in realtime, thanks to the diskstreaming engine. * Onboard mixer, so you can work with stereo-only I/O * Onboard Groove Librarian, an advanced, MIDI-based rhythm machine * Hi-hat pedal support * A much nicer and prettier-looking interface * Further expansion packs planned - next up after the XFL will be the Tommy Lee signature expansion pack. Regards, Angus.
