Hey khsuh - Just got an RP250 from Ebay a few weeks ago - loving it! To record my guitar, I use a 1/8" to 1/8" plug from the headphone out of the RP250 into the line-in of the soundcard. This way there is no latency. (and I use waveout on sound settings as the ASIO drivers always seems to pop and crackle with VSTs). (Greaser is my favorite lead patch btw) I do the same for my vocals. I have a 1/4" plug adapter at the end of my mike cable and plug it into the RP250 in the same place as my guitar. I then go into bypass mode. The key to recording volume is using the control panel of your sound card. Set it to 'line-in', and then adjust the line-in a recording levels. I find around 70% gives me a good level. You ever venture to the digitech forum? CH

Hello Capt, Well its great you got a Rp250 for yourself but to get good sounds you need to work alot on the sounds, Eqs to get a decent sound. Since I am more into Metal music the sound I find is kind of artificial but again if you work on the presets and EQs you certainly can get very good sounds. But these days I have stopped used RP250 Sounds and rather using RP250 just as an ASIO Soundcard interface for running one of my favorite guitar processing software i.e the Guitar Rig. I just wanted to ask you how do you record the Vocals as I am having trouble recording Vocals with my Rp250 since the volume is pretty less out of it. EDIT: You mean to say I should plug in my MIC into RP250 and then into my line in of my computers soundcard. Is that what you mean??

Yup. You'll need a 1/4" adapater for your mic. Then plug it into the guitar input jack. On the RP250 you can either 'by-pass' or setup a patch to use. Then either: 1) run a 1/8" to 1/8" cable from the headphone out of the RP250 into the line-in of the sound card or 2) run a 1/4" to 1/8" cable from the RP250 output jack into the line-in of the sound card Then open your sound card control panel and adjust it. I agree many of them sound thin and need some 'fattening' eq etc.
