Hi All I was wondering what kind of difference another 512 meg of ram may make to my system. Im mainly doing audio post and streaming a quicktime with 20 odd trks and a few plugz My system is the an allenstein amd 3000 with 512 meg. It seems to slow down as my mix gets more complicated but looking at system usage it doesnt seem to be stressed Question 2 Im getting ocassional DAE87 errors on several of my external FW drives and cant seem to find much info on what the problem is... One of the drives is mac formatted using macdrive and plays on a mac tdm system fine(maxtor 45gig 7200) The other is PC fat32 and a seagate 120gig 7200 8mb cache. Any thoughts appreciated

RAM- lots of difference. I'd run at least 1 gig. I'd suggest buy a 1 gig stick so you've got 1.5 gig in total.

you can never have enough RAM:) top it off this way you wont be second guessing anymore.
