Hello, I'am sure this is a simple question for some but here goes. When I open a session I get a dialogue asking for the location of missing regions.I do not require the regions in question so invariabley skip this section.I believe these have been deleted manually (I know this is not best practice) My question is this - How do you prevent PT from asking for these when subsequently opening the session.I do not want to keep using the "skip all". I have checked the PT guide and done a search of threads on this forum. G4 867 DP running OS 9.2, 002 with PT 5.3.2 Thanks

When you next open that particular session got to the AUDIO sub menu. Select unused regions including whole files. If you are POSITIVE you don't need them select delete or if not select remove. save. You will notice that the files you were asked for during the open session dialogue will be in italics.

Thank you Cheekypaul for your quick reply. To open the session (with the missing regions) I have to Skip all right? I see your thinking here but, rather strangely, having done this, there is no italicised regions listed in the Audio sub menu. I think i am missing something here Flobbydog

I think that Pro Tools is looking for files that at some point were in the session. The session will always look for the audio regions that were in the audio bin or queue when you last saved. the remove unused regions should solve it. ok?
