it's a hard problem to fix, because the dll's run as part of reaper while they're running. it would be possible to wrap them but the performance hit would be huge. can i recommend using different plugs that don't crash? or alternatively, set your autosave to every 2 minutes or something (works well here).

you guys can right click the effect before you open it to set how it runs. run it in a separate or dedicated process and it wont crash reaper. this is remembered on a per plugin basis so you just set the buggy plugins to whichever mode is most stable. if it crashes in separate mode all the other plugins running in that mode crash; dedicated, you can just reload the plugin. I use it frequently with certain staple plugins like shortcircuit and i dont notice that its hurting performance much.
