1. The Control 24 is an ethernet-based controller. It doesn't depend on the interface at all (MBox, 002, 002 Rack, HD, etc). 2. You can't "stack" LE interfaces, they are not upgradeable. If you need more than 16 inputs, you'll have to go to HD. 3. Sure - an 002 LE rig can track 16 tracks at once (24 bit) easily. The eight analog inputs handle eight, and the ADAT lightpipe I/O can do the other eight inputs (provided you purchase something like a Focusrite OctoPre, or another external A-to-D converter that has lightpipe outs) 4. Should be pretty easy...the converters on the 002 stuff are fine.... S..

I use an 002 and you can get 16 tracks no problem if you use lightpipe with an Octopre with the optional a/d card. The only problem I Found is that you can not record any higher then 48khz. The lightpipe connection can not handle more than that. To much info I guess. So if you don't mind recording at 48khz you will be fine. If anybody knows a way of recording higher then 48khz with lightpipe I would love to know how!

you can get 96k down lightpipe, but you drop down to 4 channels instead of 8. Dont know if you can do this with a 002 system tho... Jude

You can't get 8 channels through lightpipe at 96k. It's not a digidesign thing, its a lightpipe thing. There's not enough bandwidth for the density of information at 96k. As of now, all devices using lightpipe share this restriction. If 96k is more important than track count, use the 4 channel method. Otherwise, its 48k till someone invents a fatter lightpipe. emstar
