Waves has just given IR-L to most bundle users for free. So I wupped, got L3, RenAxx, TuneLt and now IR-L. Gee - let's all turn this thread into a Waves bashfest. I would be happier if I didn't have to pay $195 mcWUP to darling McDSP for the McFraud on MP4.

Yeah getting the extra plugs is a serious incentive. I'm on Waves Platinum TDM v4. Gonna cost me around $575 to upgrade to v5 but they are throwing in a lot of stuff with that. Cliff pretty much covered it all... The L3 Ultramaximizer is supposed to be great. I bought the Sony Limiter to try to avoid having to keep updating my waves L2. However, now that I realize that they are throwing in feebies....I'm not so down on waves. Considering that I've had Waves v4 plugs since I bought my HD rig in 2002...$575 to upgrade isn't THAT bad. Obviously free would be great....but..well...nothing's free. I had really been hating on waves for the past year since I read about all this WUP stuff, but for the first time..it kind of makes sense.

Hi, I'm glad I spent the $200 to WUP last week. That means for WUP in the last year I got RenAx, Pitch and IR. I guess the $200 is well spent. tech

There's been a lot written here about Waves' treatment of their customers (a lot of it fairly negative)..... I hope that this olive branch is in response to this. If Waves continue to improve their customer treatment because of pressure in these pages (and other forums) then I see that as a positive thing.
