I've only done the transfer via Ethernet/MXView. Slow but it worked. I've got a new recording session (huge too) I'll have to transfer soon so I hope the 'just mount the drive' method works.

Sure have. Works like a charm. All the time stamp information is saved in the SDII file, and the SCSI drive has to be HFS+ formatted. Good luck.

You can record in OpenTL on the MX-2424, with all the tracks layed out how you want them, ie. with virtual tracks for different takes - as automatically created when recording in non-destructive mode, say if you were shooting ADR, and then mount the StorCase carrier with a nifty program called MM-EDL () and then export to Pro Tools. The ProTools session will open with all the same tracks layed out and all the supplemental takes of the same element, with all the track names etc... This can make it easy to prepare templates either with the RC-2424 or MX-View. Enjoy!!!!
