When using a multitimbral vsti, ProteusX2 in this case, I can't get the Virtual midi Keyboard to play anything but channel one. I have a sound in channel 2 of ProteusX2 but can't get it to play. I tried using Trollo (A keyboard vst) and can get it to work. It will play any of the channels and their voices. The problem with Trollo is that I am getting considerable latency. Using the Reaper Virtual Keyboard there is very little, if any, latency. Is it possible to have the Reaper keyboard play the various channels? I have tried everything I can think of. When I switch to channel 2 I get silence.

The virtual MIDI keyboard only sends MIDI on channel 1 Meanwhile you could insert IX's MIDI_Tool in the FX chain before Proteus to change the channel (and if useful, automate the Output channel switching). HTH
