HI there, I'm fairly new to Reaper and haven't lurked around here before, just did a quick search and couldn't find an answer th this: I like Reaper so far, but compared to Tracktion it's still a PITA e.g. to use KT Drumtrigger - all that "create an extra track for every fx you wanna use"-crap is holdig me back from switching hosts. Can this be done more intuitively in Reaper as well? I guess I always have to create an extra track just to be able to use a vst? And then route the output of a vsti to that vst etc... Thanks for any hints!

You can do all sorts of routing within a single track, it's just not as easy as Tracktion's drag-and-drop effect racks. That's really the one feature I miss from Tracktion, since you could whip off the most complicated setup with a few clicks. Stuff like that can be a pain to set up in Reaper, but that's why we have the ability to save templates.

Thanks. So I'll have a look at those templates and see what can be done.
