I heard the 2906 is not bootable, what does that mean and why should I care?

I made the same mistake. A 'non bootable' SCSI card is actually incompatible. Marketing double-talk! Go with a dual channel Atto card for drives and burner. Adaptec 2930u for just a burner.

Go with a dual channel Atto card for drives and burner. Adaptec 2930u for just a burner. [/B][/QUOTE] Can't I use the Adaptec 2930u. for both a CD-burner AND a SCSI Harddisc? Why not?
