all the CG movies in Warcraft III are in MPQ files, when i install warcraft III the movies work with Windows Media Player or whatever. I uninstalled the game (so also this hidden mpq codec) but i still want to view them, so.....how can i convert these .mpq files to a avi?? is there a mpq player with a "save as" function? hit me...

I just renamed them to avi eg HumanEd.mpq to HumanEd.avi Plays fine, no decoder settings though.

try to create an .avs file with this lines, replace with the name of your .mpq file : DirectShowSource("c:\warIII\video.mpq") save this script with .avs extention and open the .avs file in vdub and compress it.

Or perhaps you can simply change the FourCC code whitin the files. I think they are compressed with DivX 5 only with a different FourCC. Edit: I've found this
