I'm currently using a cheap POS Yamaha PSR-225GM that is many years old. It does have MIDI IN and OUT though. The built-in sounds are worthless but it works well for VSTi's/DXi's in software. No Pitch bend or Mod wheel though. You might look for something along the same lines at pawn shops or eBay. I want an M-Audio Axiom 49 sometime but it's low on the priority list. The little "toy" or "starter keyboards" like the Yamaha make pretty good tools on the cheap. Just an idea... ;) D

I picked up a M-Audio KeyStation49, brand new with all the software & USB cable, for $79 shipped from J&R Electronics. I found that deal thru Price Grabber after Musicians Friend gave me the run around on one I order a month before.....just a thought....

I wouldn't buy one, If my E-Mu Xboard broke I would buy another straight away.Apart from the pitch wheel and Mod wheel it has lines of normal rotary controls on the top that I've assigned to Volume faders if I want in Reaper. It's solid and simple to use and as stated, and it's very important, good working drivers.I've not had one single problem in just over a years use. There are other similar ones but I haven't used them so cannot speak for them.

I bought a USB Evolution eKeys 37 for $40. Bad purchase, keys are flimsy and not velocity-sensitive. Luckily I only needed it as a "generic remote" to press record from random places in the room. Thought I should let you know to stay away from that one
