Hi, Due to poor fuel consumption ive been hunting around the engine bay for air leaks / pipes off etc i found two possible answers, there is a pipe missing fom the top of the plastic intake pipe (pic 1) there is also a pipe missing from the t piece that fits onto the actuator (pic2) i found a pipe off the other day and and put it back on the actuator t piece but now i,m thinking it should have gone on the plastic intake pipe and the actuator t piece should be blanked off. any help would be appreciated sorry for the out of focus pics :baring_teeth:

The pipe coming off the large plastic pipe is the return from your Boost control solenoid (BCS) and should have a small pipe connected to it going to the BCS and the T piece should be blanked off because your waistgate actuator will not operate correctly with such a big 'Bleed' in the control line. I would get some new pipe from Volvo and redo them. Cheap and stops the turbo running away and bending con rods. I'll try and find the diagram for the BCS and post it.

I would say that the car might have had a MBC at some point (manual boost controller) or worst still a bleed valve. I would blank it off before you drive it again as the waistgate can't work with such a big leak.
