i just changed some things around in the studio and in doing so I thought i would hook my cd burner directly into the 001 main outs and see what the outcome was.... DISTORTION!!! Same track sounds great out of the mackies, and great if I run the outs into another mixer and analog to the cd burner. (this is my norm) Which jacks are best for final output to cd burner directly out of the 001?

best results would be to be able to use the spdif outs ot a burner, but I am assuming you have a burner with analog inputs only. I'm also assuming you have a burner with no input metering, otherwise you would have seen it being driven past digital zero. Try any of the 3-8 op, as they are unbalanced -10db, vs the 1/2 op which are +4db balanced. Again I'm assuming your analog inputs to teh burner are probably -10db rca connections....

where o where are you tonight? thanks for the input and your assumptions are right except that i do have a led read out on the burner and that is what started my question. The old way of burning my record input on the burner was @ zero or -1 db. The new setup my burner is input is @ -15. Sounds like it is just the difference in the balancing and cutoff of the jack! thanks again
