Today I picked up a relay box and two key fobs from a volvo guard 2 system. I tried to get the full thing but all the wires were taped up and gunky. What I want to do is use the remote door lock feature, although I'm beginning to think the antenna isn't on this relay. Do I need more bits?

From what I can make of it, I don't need the volvo guard relay, I just need this: Does anyone have any idea where I could find that on the car?

Braydons? Salvo? Another Volvo breakers?

On the net it says behind front centre consule but that might not be for all models? (Wondered if the other post's mention of other relays was of any use, it wasn't, sorry)

I belive it is behind the clocks above the steering shaft, has a wire coming off it as an aerial.

I went back today to have another look. I checked: behind the glovebox, behind the radio, and behind the clocks. This thing just doesn't seem to be there... There was a little metal frame which had a switch that interacted with the brake pedal (ABS?) and a large box (ecu?)

Does anyone have any ideas where it is hidden? I've searched in every nook above the steering column.
