rarely do i need help, but now i do..lol. heres what i'm useing/testing. de la mancha erratic cm drum sample player from the december computer music mag from uk. i got it as a stocking stuffer. a ton of drum sounds in erratic. actually many neat drum sounds. heres the link for it. (in case anyone wants to try the demo.) and heres the magazine issue. the erratic ui comes up fine as a plug in on a track. then i bring up reapers virtual keyboard and/or play keys on the computer kbd to correspond to the midi note numbers displayed viz the samples in erratic ui. but no sound. normally i can figure these things out. but after coupla hours trying , no joy. i'm sure i'm doing something stupid. by the way when i use reapers media explorer to play the erratic drum samples useing the mouse, no problem. play fine. thus i conclude somehow i'm not getting the virtual midi kbd talking to the erratic plug in properly. any help would be highly appreciated. if some kind soul gets it working on their system please tell me. ps..it looks like reaper reports low system useage for this plug in on my system. but i havent had much chance to explore further obviously.

just had a try mself 

created new track - fx = erratic. I generally only use my little evolution mk225 keyboard so had to hunt for virtual kb (ctrl + B) Armed track for all midi imputs all channels (over the top?) Moused and pressed keys no sounds! ouch! Then changed octive on evolution KB and ding - dong - boom. Changed center (centre!) note on virtual midi keyboard to C3 and ding - dong - doo ! Tried with a variety of kits and ? yes they seem to work. It's quite a nice instrument - but perhaps a little random for me. Best of luck "old limey" BTW - a good while ago I d/l'd a song of yours - something about London crying?! - Well I must have somehow slotted it on my mp3 player - towards the end of th mix (1gig) so I never generally get that far along. So amidst some live recordings from "darylshouse" was your tune - a pleasant surprise - cause I thought there goes a reaperite. Hope you have success.
