Yes please. Im surprised if there isnt already a way to do this, as it is rather annoying.

I could have sworn this (current behavior) was asked to be added years ago but could be wrong (people objected to having to retype the filter). See my next post.

I agree. I see the button to "Clear Filter" but I think it should just be a permanent preference/option. I can't think of a time that it was useful to keep a search filter after I found the plugin I was searching for. Having it auto-clear would be a nice little time saver.

Did some checking and my memory failed me thusly... you might try right clicking a folder in the FX Browser. ;)
