A quick Digi-tech question... I have HD Core, HD Accel and a HD Process card installed in a G4 MDD 1.25 in the said order from buttom and up. Lately PT 6.2.3 has been crashing on me for no reason. I've run a DigiTest on all cards and I get the following failure on the HD Core card: DSP External S-RAM Test (Y Memory ) DSP D : Failed - Y memory failure It doesn't sound good to me. What do you think? pv

I just had my second Core Card Failure in a year. Here is how you can test based on my most recent encounter. Go to your home user Preferences and find the Digisetup. If there is a corrupt version (as named next to it) throw both away and restart. Then re run digi test again and if it still fails you have a failed core card and will need to replace it. Call the digi tech support line and the person will probably run you through the test again and then you will be able to order your replacement card.

Thanks for the tip, Mark. Unfortunately, the problem remains after I trashed the DigiSetup...

"card failures" in digitest can also be cause by a faulty/improperly seated tdm cable, though that will ususally manifest as a clock error rather than an sram failure. Nevertheless, swap out your tdm cable with another one, or at least remove and re-install it if you dont have a spare. Remember to trash digisetup and reboot before every run of digitest, otherwise results are unreliable.

Is your Mac a 2002 or 2003/4? Were not the early mirror door (2002 models) Mac PCI slot's the same as the quicksilver? (AGP-HDCore-ACCel...ATTO) then Apple changed the PCI slot order mid 2003? Just a thought before you need to send it back.
