The 002R is compatible with both MAC and PC. Plugins need to be installed in whatever machine you are working on. If you open a session that calls for plugins that are not installed, they will be disabled. Make sure you check "enforce MAC/PC compatibility" when you create new sessions. A safe way to keep life simple is to consolidate all regions all the way back to the "zero" on the counter. That way, if you have trouble opening a session, you can just create a new session and import the audio tracks as they will all line up to Zero. No doubt you will get the hang of it quickly as there is no substitute for diving in and living it for real. Plan ahead by finding out what plugins each studio has available.
