My son has just got into reaper and has installed reaper on his pc but every time reaper starts he gets this message... REAPER v4.02 (initializing): reaper.exe - entry point not found The procedure entry point-except-handler4-common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll. Once he ok's this reaper will start. Hes evaluating reaper at the moment & i hope this can be fixed before he decides to jump ship & use something else, as im always bigging up how good & stable reaper is ! I have uninstalled, cleaned up all folders & registry cleaned then reinstalled but the problem persists !!! Anyone have any ideas or point me to the right place to post & ask !

Hi V,ger & Justin, my sons pc is hp workstation xw600 running XP Pro with 2gb RAM & dual core intel xeon 3.4 ghz. Reaper appears to be fine once you ok prompt box but he is unsure about doing a project in it incase something funky happens later on. msvcrt.dll. is in the system32 folder & yes he is running m-audio fasttrack pro & m-audio x-sessions pro. edit: I have just uninstalled fasttrack pro ,but the problem persists. Kind Regards

Seems it's an uncurable bug that can happen with M-Audio, see here: But try Ollie's tip in post 4, and i guess maybe worth to update the M-Audio drivers? Do u have access to another soundcard to test with? If not, try to disable M-Audio (in Reaper and/or Windows) and start with the driver just to check.
