*every time that I close the FX browser and reopen it, the 'All plugins' is opened again... :/ Since I rarely use this folder, I want to move this folder to the bottom or to keep it closed by default.* steps: open the fx browser close the folder 'All plugins' close the fx browser open the fx browser = --the 'All plugins' folder was opened again--

Possibly related issue, I lose my "favorites" every time I update Reaper

YES! I HATE THAT! I want Reaper to remember which folder was LAST opened, ALWAYS, on every FX chain window closing, it must remember where it was!

Yeah I haven't been bothered to even organize my fx folder since this hasn't been changed.

I would too like an option to remember the folder I had opened the last time I was in the FX Browser (at least until REAPER closes and opens).

No, not an option. DEFAULT. This is very basic.

Default yes, but sure optional. I only very occasionally use those folders, most cases this will be either the "new" or the "recent" folders. Normally I just open that window and start to type a keyword. I wouldn't want Reaper to remember the occasional case and open up with the "recent" folder, just because that's the one that showed last time I closed the "add FX" window. Not that it would make or break me, but I like the current behaviour. Even though I would expect it to open like Fabian proposes.
