How do I record my computer's outcoming audio into Reaper?? I've fumbled around in it for like 30 mintues and can't figure it out. And the manual confuses me.

1. Arm your track 2. Select your input 3. Select your Record: output mode (stereo, mono or multichannel) If you don't want to record your track's output just select Record: input from r-click context menu. The most important step here is to select your input; record modes will depend on your needs. NOTE: remember to tick "Monitor Input" or "Monitor Input (Tape Auto Style)" in right-click context menu.
Sorry to dive in here with an irrelevant post but, Mercado, how do you do these animated demos? I see them a lot around these forums. They're a great way to show how things are done. Is there some desktop recording software I need to get?

I've tried this before I visited this thread, as it seems natural that it would work this way (even without selecting an input and/or the monitoring it should work, right ?). But for some reason it doesn't. I got it working some weeks ago, and with record not armed, but monitoring enabled, the VU would follow the master VU, but now it just stays silent. Am I overlooking something ? My workaround is to insert receives from all tracks, but the method described above is a much cleaner work method.
Have you changed Reaper versions since the time it was working? Can you post, as an attachment, a small project showing the problem?. Use MIDI and ReaSynth.
Hey all very old thread here that I am trying to use. I have a RME babyface Pro interface. I have my track armed in Reaper and have the "Record: Output (mono)" selected and the "Input: None" selected which then shows as "No Input (record full output)" Nothing is coming through though. Monitoring on or off nothing seems to make it into reaper even though I can listen through my headphones plugged into my RME Babyface. What am I doing wrong because everything looks like it is setup correctly on my end.
