I have been trying to learn this handy tool. Currently I am using it for some pitch bending on 1 midi track. I only want the pitch to bend 2 semitones- but I do not know the unit of measure for the ReaCntrllrMIDI pitchwheel control- it goes into the thousands plus or minus on pitch- so I'm guessing we are not talking semi tones right? How can I set it to semitones so I can at least attempt to have the bend landing notes to still in key with the song Im working on. I have watched some videos on this tool and tried to find some info in the Reaper manual without much luck for pitch bending anyway- thanks in advance.

Usually the receiving device should have a feature to limit the range. Your's doesn't? What's its range?

Ok, I found a solution: -> add ReaControlMIDI -> enable Control Change -> choose a Controller (1) not used by the VSTi -> touch/move Pitch Wheel fader with the mouse -> Param: Parameter modulation -> Link from MIDI or FX parameter -> self: ReaControlMIDI: select the Controller (1) -> set Scale to the desired value to get 2 semitones range -> use Controller (1) in ReaControlMIDI to pitch Looks like this:

^^^^ That should not be needed (or have I missed something?). I'm pretty sure that the Pitch Bend range in Kontakt is +/-2 semitones and is fixed (or, at least, I cannot see where to change it ;)). Add a spectrum analyser after Kontakt, play a note and move the pitch wheel slider in ReaControlMIDI to see / hear how the frequency changes.

Not possible. It's the usual MIDI controller value range - either 0-127 (8 bit) or 0 to 16383 (14 bit).

CTRL+Click to draw Snap can be disabled in toolbar. Grid/snap settings can be set to lower values too (rightclick grid toolbar icon).

^^^ Ah ha - that's where it is hiding ;) (I did not see that mentioned in the Kontakt Reference manual.) Yep, the default is generally +/-2 semitones and the max is +/- 12.
