Hi. I do not know how I determin if the S900 radio/Cd has a internal amp. It is the origilnal radio in a 1997 Volvo S70. There is a multi plug & 3 or 4 other separate wires connecting to the back of the radio. Sorry for my lack of knowledge. Alan

I believe it does have the external amp ( which I have been led to believe is under the drivers seat?) At the back of the radio if I remember right its the black round plug that leads to it.
