Anyone ever mod a 002r? I was thinkin about relocating the phantom power buttons to the front of the unit bc they're impossible to get to when it is racked. (i thought about just leavin them on 24/7 but i dont wanna accidently blow my ribbon mic out) any advice would be much appreciated

ermm you will get an earth loop if you lift the ground. If you just wire a switch off the phantom so it extends to the front, it should be a very simple tag solder job.

Use an outboard mic-pre for the ribbon mic?
