In playback, using this command seemingly randomly inserts the markers either at the playback cursor (current position) OR by the edit cursor. It should always insert the marker at the playback cursor, which of course is equal to the edit cursor when in transport stop. Very irritating when inserting markers for notes when listening.

Yes, I've also come across this bug sometimes. But it seems erratic, I don't always have the same result.

Ok managed to catch it on Licecap now. Not easy since I dont know what triggers it. This is all done using "insert marker at currect position", the last one puts it at the edit cursor = a bug.

For various actions, REAPER internally keeps track of whether the cursor focus is on the play cursor or the edit cursor. This same focus is used to determine whether the view will be autoscrolled. There are actions to manually move focus to one or the other: ' is mapped to "go to play cursor", and " is mapped to "go to edit cursor". If you like, you can modify your marker-drop action to be a custom action which is "go to play cursor" + "insert marker".

Thanks for the explanation Justin! But do you mean the action called move edit cursor to play cursor? (cannot find any other actions that would do something similar)
