this happens a lot and can cause big problems if gone unnoticed, you can copy a section of bass all the way through the track and then realise afterwards that there are clicks occurring at every join. You then have to work your way back through the track reapplying the fades to each take xpsp3 reaper 3.141

Oh... the good old 'where did my fades go?' bug. Confirmed! Can we get rid of it once and for all devs, please?

Manual fades should not be replaced by auto-crossfades until the items do overlap. Would you mind posting a simple project with a couple of items that demonstrates this problem? You don't need to attach the actual audio.

there you go, incidentally, while I was deleting tracks to simplify the project one of the automation lanes got a garbled name and then became orphaned at the bottom of the screen, followed by a crash. Ive included the crash log

Thanks for posting the project. It's rounding error that causes the items to overlap a tiny bit, we'll work on it. Also, which 3.141pre is that crash log from?

Please take a look at this issue: One problem seems to be fixed but some others still remain
