I'm getting a slight delay when I use ezdrummer live in a reaper track. The track is armed and the signal is going through fine but I have a slight delay when I hit the kit before I can hear it in the reaper track so I can't syc live with an already completed track. A split second delay screws me up. I have no delay once a track has been laid but then armed the armed track does not sync up with the already laid track. Hope I'm making some sense as to the problem. Any help would be appreciated

This sounds like a typical latency problem. Are you aware of what latency is, and how to adjust it through your soundcard? The lower the latency, the less delay...

No, I'm unaware how to adjust latency, I'm pretty new to the daw system. As well, when I hit the snare on ezdrummer the armed reaper track shows the signal in the track but when I press the record button no signal shows up on the track as it goes along when I hit the snare. On playback nothing has been recorded. I understand the idea that midi does not record specific sounds but digital information. I'm just not sure how to translate that to an actual track. I see the led bouncing on the track when I hit the snare, I press record as with a non-midi signal, yet nothing seems to be recording. Clearly, I am extremely ignorant to how midi works so I'm sure I'm missing something obvious to the learned. Any help would be appreciated in both areas. EDIT - I solved the midi sound problem (Insert/new MIDI item, then double click on the empty phrase and use the virtual keyboard to input the midi sounds) I still need some help with the "latency" problem, though.
