alright, say i have the instruments of a song recorded, and also mixed and panned with automated stuff perfectly. Now i want to make a master fader for just these instruments not the whole track so i can adjust them as a whole, but still want to keep all the automation. When i change the output to a bus it come up and ask if i wanna go on because it will lose all automation. can anyone help?

You can put them all in an automation group.

but if i have autotion on one that goes to say -1, but then i move them all up 1db, the second i let of a fader they all jump back down to -1, BUt if i hold the fader down the just sit where they are and dont move acording to their indivual automation. do you understand?

how about creating a stereo aux bus? send all the outputs of the 3 tracks to the input of the aux track. whatever is being automated in your other 3 tracks will be heard in your aux track which you could output to a stereo audio track and record it as all the auotmation plays for you. not sure if that solves your problem.... steve
