Hey Guys, Just wondering if it's possible to render out multi-mono files? So instead of ending up with a single stereo file, you would get a Left file and a Right file. Cheers in advance! Jo

Don't think this is supported "out of the box". However, this will work and is fairly painless: 1. Render out to stereo, close project 2. In a new project, import your stereo file 3. Right click track->Render->Render/Freeze->Render tracks to mono stem tracks In your new project if you haven't saved or anything chances are the mono tracks will appear in the default (Reaper Media) folder. But you can select (click) the mono items and hit Ctrl+F2 to find out. If you're going to do this often I'd suggest creating a blank project for this purpose and loading it in whenever you want to go stereo->2xMono. That way, you can choose where the mono files go (the save dir of the blank project), and you can apply any particular postprocessing in the stereo->mono split chain. z. :)

Thanks mate. Had thought of that option but hoped there would be a direct way to go about it. I just found that Wave Agent by Sound Devices can split multitrack files really easily and it's free! Worked a treat :)

No worries mate :p I end up using Reaper to do just about everything these days. The only thing I still need another proggy for on the audio side is dealing with certain problems in the digital domain that require a pencil tool, like clicks from badly clocked sources in a digital chain etc. etc.. I'm wondering how that Orpheus sounds compared with my RME Fireface. Always get wobbly kneed with nice sounding gear, particularly DACS :) z. :)

You could always send your stereo file to two new tracks and freeze them as mono files. Or if it was your master you wanted to render -group everything and send to two new tracks outside the group and freeze them. The sends are just channel 1 for left and channel 2 for right. Hope you can follow this. >

I think "Item processing>Explode multi channel audio" will do it.:)
